Sam Roi Yot to Bangkok Van Charter from ฿4,800

A private van with driver from Khao Sam Roi Yot back to Bangkok costs ฿4,800 per trip for a Toyota Commuter and ฿11,500 per trip for a Toyota Alphard — that is the charter price per vehicle one way, not per person, and it includes the driver, fuel, expressway tolls and bottled water on board. The fare table distance is 270 km and the drive takes roughly 3.5 to 4 hours, following Phetkasem Road north past Pranburi, Hua Hin, Cha-am and Phetchaburi before joining Rama II Road into Bangkok; on a Sunday evening or at the end of a long weekend, allow about an hour more. We pick up at the Dolphin Bay and Khao Kalok resorts, at Ban Bang Pu village, at the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park office or anywhere in Sam Roi Yot district, and drop at any home, hotel or at Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports for the same price. On travel day you tap "I'm at the pickup point" on your trip page, the driver comes to where you are standing and confirms with your 4-digit pickup code. A 50% deposit confirms the van and the balance is paid on the day. Book on LINE @kingtocar or call 084-709-3719.

6 · Stops & places to visit
Ban Bang Pu fishing village

Ban Bang Pu fishing village

A small fishing community and the boat departure point for Phraya Nakhon Cave, with inexpensive fresh seafood and fine bay views — a natural lunch stop before the drive home. The van normally reaches the village itself.

Khao Daeng viewpoint

Khao Daeng viewpoint

A lookout over the limestone ridges and the whole bay, a fairly steep 20 to 30 minute climb from the car park. Best done early, before you set off, while it is still cool.

Sam Roi Yot wetlands

Sam Roi Yot wetlands

One of Thailand's largest freshwater marshes, with boardwalks and bird hides, on the northern side of the park close to the exit back onto Phetkasem Road, so it costs little time. From November to March migratory birds arrive in large numbers.

Market

Pak Nam Pran fish market

The fish market at the mouth of the Pran Buri River, about 30 km north of Sam Roi Yot and busiest in the morning — good for dried squid and seafood to take home. Bring a cool box or a foam crate.

Market

Chatchai Market, Hua Hin

Hua Hin's central fresh market under its arched roofs, about an hour north and directly on the way back, with souvenirs, sweets and breakfast stalls. A short stop fits easily before rejoining Phetkasem Road.

Khao Luang Cave, Phetchaburi

Khao Luang Cave, Phetchaburi

A limestone cavern in Phetchaburi town holding old Buddha images, lit by daylight falling through the cave mouth, only a few kilometres off Phetkasem Road. Always check the admission fee and opening hours before you go.

Why book this route with us

084-709-3719

One flat fare of ฿4,800, the same in both directions

A Toyota Commuter is ฿4,800 per trip and a Toyota Alphard ฿11,500 per trip, charter price per vehicle, including the driver, fuel, expressway tolls and bottled water. The published fare table prices the return leg the same as the outbound.

Door-to-door pickup inside the park area

Resorts around Dolphin Bay, Khao Kalok, Sam Phraya Beach and Ban Bang Pu sit 10 to 20 km off Phetkasem Road. The van can usually drive in to the door; send a Google Maps pin when you book and we will check the access first.

See Phraya Nakhon Cave on your last morning, then travel

The light beam inside the cave peaks around 10 to 11am. You are back down at Ban Bang Pu by about midday, have lunch, leave at 1pm and, if traffic is normal, reach Bangkok around 5pm. Agree the pickup time with the driver in advance.

Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang for the same price

We drop at the departures level of either airport for the same fare as a home or hotel in Bangkok. Send your flight number and departure time and we will work back the leaving time from Sam Roi Yot to cover the drive and check-in.

Add Pranburi and Hua Hin on the way home

Pranburi is about 40 minutes north of Sam Roi Yot and Hua Hin about an hour, both directly on the way back, so a fish market, a lunch stop or souvenir shopping needs no detour. For several stops or long waiting we will quote the hourly charter as a comparison.

Room for heavy luggage and small children

The Commuter takes up to 9 passengers with 8 large bags, or 12 with 3 bags. The Alphard is a VIP vehicle with reclining captain seats for up to 6. Child seats and boosters rent at ฿300 each per booking — tell us the children's ages.

Travel tips for this route

  1. To catch the cave light on your final morning, start the climb at 8 or 9am, be inside between 10 and 11, come down to Ban Bang Pu by midday and arrange the van for 1pm — you normally reach Bangkok around 5pm.
  2. The cave path is steep natural rock and takes 30 to 45 minutes each way. If that is too much, take a boat from Ban Bang Pu to Laem Sala beach instead; the boat fare is paid separately and is not part of the van price.
  3. On Sunday evenings and at the end of long weekends, Phetkasem Road from Phetchaburi to Rama II is heavy. If you have a flight or an appointment in Bangkok, allow an extra hour or leave before 3pm.
  4. Accommodation around Dolphin Bay, Khao Kalok and Sam Phraya Beach sits on narrow lanes, some unpaved. Send the Google Maps pin for your pickup point when booking and we will check whether the van can reach it or you should meet at the lane entrance.
  5. You are welcome to take fresh seafood home, but pack it in a sealed foam box or cool box with absorbent bags so nothing leaks inside the cabin over the four-hour drive.
  6. If you book the outbound and return legs together, send the times for both at once; we will confirm whether the same driver covers them and send one quotation for the pair before you commit.

What's included

  • Professional driver who knows the route
  • Fuel + expressway and motorway tolls
  • Chilled water on board · child seat on request
  • Parking fees everywhere · light snacks on board
