What is the difference between the Commuter and the Alphard, and which should we choose?
The Toyota Commuter is a 9–13 seat van for up to 12 passengers with plenty of luggage room, from ฿1,500 (Bangkok) / ฿1,400 (Phuket), made for families and groups. The Toyota Alphard is a luxury minivan with 6–7 captain seats for up to 6 passengers, from ฿3,500 (Bangkok) / ฿3,200 (Phuket), for travellers who want comfort and privacy. Seven or more people or lots of luggage: choose the Commuter.
How many passengers and bags fit in a Commuter?
Up to 12 passengers. With up to 9 people it takes 8 large bags, with 10 people 6 large bags, and with 11–12 people 3 large bags.
How many passengers and bags fit in an Alphard?
Up to 6 passengers. With up to 4 people it takes 4 large bags, and with 5–6 people 2 large bags; for more luggage we recommend the Commuter.
How much does a private vehicle with driver cost?
One way per vehicle, the Toyota Commuter starts at ฿1,500 (Bangkok) / ฿1,400 (Phuket) and the Toyota Alphard at ฿3,500 (Bangkok) / ฿3,200 (Phuket) for short trips; a Bangkok airport transfer is ฿1,500 in a Commuter and ฿3,500 in an Alphard, including driver, fuel, tolls and water. What does the price include?
The driver, fuel, tolls and drinking water. Meals, admission fees, boat fares, stops not agreed in advance and the driver's room on overnight trips (฿1,000 per night) are not included.
Can we hire by the hour, and how much is it?
Yes. 3 to 12 hours costs ฿2,400–฿7,500 in a Commuter and ฿6,000–฿18,000 in an Alphard, with 90–360 km included by package. Overtime is ฿600 or ฿1,300 per hour and extra distance ฿25 or ฿45 per km.
What if we are more than 12 people?
Book several vehicles in one booking, for example two Commuters; each vehicle has its own status. Or message LINE @kingtocar and the team arranges the vehicles.
Can we choose the exact vehicle in the photos?
All photos show vehicles from our real jobs, but interiors vary slightly. If you want something specific, such as captain seats, tell us when booking and the team checks availability first.
How do we book, and how much is the deposit?
A 50% deposit confirms the booking and the rest is paid on the travel day. Book online at once, or message LINE @kingtocar or call 084-709-3719. Cancel at least 3 days before travel for a full refund of the deposit.
How do we know the vehicle and driver can be trusted?
Vehicles and drivers must have their licence and insurance in our system before taking a job. On the travel day your trip page shows the driver's name, the plate and the live location, you tell the driver your 4-digit code before boarding, and our gallery shows photos from real jobs.
