Travel tips for this route

  1. The trip takes about 12–14 hours including breaks. For a one-day journey leave Phuket early, or tell the team if you want to split it over two days with a night in Chumphon (driver accommodation ฿500 per night).
  2. Compare with flying first: Phuket to Bangkok is about a 1.5-hour flight. A private van makes sense for lots of luggage, relocations, larger groups or stops in several provinces.
  3. If you are connecting to a flight at Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang, book it for the next day or leave a very generous margin before check-in, as the drive takes most of the day.
  4. For household goods or bulky equipment, send sizes and quantities in advance; it may mean fewer passengers or an extra vehicle, and the team will assess before confirming.
  5. In heavy rain in the south the driver has to slow down on some stretches, so allow extra time.
  6. Traffic into Bangkok is heavy on weekday evenings. Send the exact address or map pin and the name of your condo or hotel.
