Krabi's main seaside beach, with restaurants, shops and the longtail-boat point for Railay and the islands.
Railay and Phra Nang cave beach
A limestone-cliff peninsula reached only by boat, with longtails from Ao Nang Beach. Best planned as a separate trip after check-in.
Nopparat Thara Beach
A long beach just north of Ao Nang, quieter, with a pier for boats to the islands.
Shell Cemetery and Khao Khanab Nam
A seaside site of ancient shell fossils near Ao Nang; Khao Khanab Nam is the pair of limestone hills on the Krabi River in town.
Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple)
A temple near Krabi Town with a stairway of several hundred steps up to a hilltop viewpoint. Allow time and dress modestly.
Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island
The limestone bay of Phang Nga province, near the road between Phuket and Krabi. Visiting it requires a boat, so plan it as a separate trip.
