Kata Beach
A curving white-sand beach of about 1.5 km with a family feel and Koh Pu island in the bay. Waves are strong in the monsoon season, so check the warning flags before swimming.
Kata Noi Beach
A small bay just south of Kata, quieter and home to several resorts. The road down to the beach is fairly steep.
Karon Viewpoint
A viewpoint on the coast road south of Kata Noi overlooking the bays of Kata Noi, Kata and Karon. Tell us in advance if you want a photo stop.
Promthep Cape
The southern tip of Phuket and a famous sunset spot. It gets crowded in the evening, so it is best planned as a separate trip.
Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha
The Big Buddha sits on Nakkerd Hill between Kata and Chalong, and Wat Chalong is the island's best-known temple. Dress modestly when visiting.
Karon Beach
The long beach just north of Kata, a few minutes away, lined with restaurants and hotels along the beach road.
