Travel tips for this route

For seafood at Talay Thai, arrive before 7am — the freshest stock and best prices are between 4 and 7, after which supply thins and prices creep up.
Bring foam boxes and ice, or buy them at the market at a higher price. Tell the driver you will have fresh goods so the rear space is kept clear and the return route planned for speed.
Rama II Road has intermittent roadworks and jams badly on Friday evenings; allow an extra 40 to 60 minutes then. Early on a weekday it is clear and the trip takes under an hour.
The salt harvest at Khok Kham runs from January to April. Outside that window the pans are simply flooded with no salt mounds to photograph, so time your visit if photography is the goal.

Yes, we do factory and meeting runs regularly. Have the host company name and an internal contact number ready for the driver to clear the checkpoint quickly. For several plants in one day, an hourly charter works best.

Will seafood odour be a problem, or is there a cleaning fee?

Properly sealed foam boxes or bags cause no issue and we do not charge a cleaning fee. We simply ask that leaking fresh goods are not placed directly on the seats — tell the driver in advance and he will arrange space and protective covering.
