Toyota Commuter
Fuel + tolls + driver + water included
A private van with driver from Sattahip back to Bangkok costs ฿4,000 per trip for a Toyota Commuter and ฿9,000 per trip for a Toyota Alphard — that is the charter price per vehicle one way, not per person, and it includes the driver, fuel, expressway tolls and bottled water on board. The fare table distance is 151 km and the drive takes roughly 2 to 2.5 hours, joining Motorway 7 near Pattaya and running straight into Bangkok; on a Sunday evening or the end of a long weekend, allow about an hour more. We pick up at hotels and resorts in Sattahip, Bang Saray and Na Jomtien, inside the Sattahip naval base area, or at U-Tapao airport, and drop at any home, hotel or airport in Bangkok. On travel day you tap "I'm at the pickup point" on your trip page, the driver comes to where you are standing and confirms with your 4-digit pickup code. A 50% deposit confirms the van and the balance is paid on the day. Book on LINE @kingtocar or call 084-709-3719.

A fishing village about 13 km from Sattahip on the way to Pattaya, with seafood restaurants along the waterfront and a morning fresh market. A good first meal stop before the motorway, and easy to park along Sukhumvit Road.

A large temple at Huai Yai, a short drive off Sukhumvit Road between Sattahip and Pattaya. The grounds are wide and hold a great chedi and Thai pavilions. Dress modestly for the shrine buildings and check the opening hours of each part before you go.

The giant Buddha image etched on the cliff face, close to Wat Yansangwararam. A short photo stop with a car park at the front. Check the opening times and any entrance fee at the gate before you go.

The hillside viewpoint over Pattaya Bay with the whole beach in one frame, about 30 km from Sattahip. It gets crowded late in the afternoon and parking is limited, so keep it a short stop.

Chonburi's best known souvenir market, on Sukhumvit Road near Bang Saen, selling khao lam sticky rice in bamboo, dried shrimp and other seafood snacks. It is the last shopping stop before Bangkok.

An old fishing town north of Bang Saen with a fresh seafood market, oyster restaurants and shops selling the local stone mortars. It sits on the Bangkok side, so you can stop and then rejoin the motorway.
฿4,000 for a Commuter and ฿9,000 for an Alphard per trip. The price is for the whole van and includes the driver, fuel, expressway tolls and bottled water on board, so it is the same whether one or nine of you travel.

The drivers are Thai and most speak only a little English, so nothing depends on talking out loud. Your trip page has a voice interpreter you can open on travel day, and the chat on that page translates both ways — type your pickup spot or a change of plan in your own language and the driver reads it in Thai.
